The Raconteurs

Note

When our old friend Glenn Albin, former editor in chief of Ocean Drive, called to say he was launching a new magazine called Plum Miami, we pitched him a monthly oral history column called The Raconteurs. For the debut, we went straight to Jeri Jenkins and Cindy Johnson, two Miami girls who accidentally became the den mothers of 1970s rock royalty, as a backdoor into the story of the legendary Criteria Recording Studios, a documentary we'd always wanted to make. The piece ran, then the whole Plum Miami enterprise went under. We still love this one.
